Now that we're back to being somewhat sane. *clears throat* This is a rant and rambling that might be a bit out of the blue to some of you, though over the last couple months, Avatar: The Last Airbender has wormed its way into my heart and made its own little place there as one of my favorite shows. Total. Complete. And so far. It is such a beautifully well-rounded show with gorgeous animated fight scenes, a world as solid as its own Earth Kingdom in basis and research, with a story that makes me want to weep for its harmony in line with itself, and completely unforgettable characters. This; I tell myself every time I watch it, is something very similar to what I want to achieve.

And it's a good thing that Mike and Bryan are bunkering down in a hotel room tonight (you know it's true, and they'll sleep like babies knowing we're freaking out) otherwise I'd go out and find them and glomp them until they couldn't walk anymore.

I both regret and appreciate the fact that I got into this show late: though I will say that I have never been against it. It was more one of those things of "Oh, it looks cool. I'll get into it sometime." But ultimately, I knew it was on Nickelodeon, and the shows on there have rarely ever been stimulating or entertaining enough for me to follow it more than just the occasional funny episode. How very wrong I ended up being.

So, these past few months, I have been scrounging about with spurts of episodes, until one night it ALL happened, and my muse freaked out as we watched nearly two seasons of it when the story really started picking up. Then came the agonizing wait for the series finale, sprinkled with much along the way.

The funny thing being, before I had even watched one episode, I knew most of the characters due to this site. *pats DA and its crazed fanpeoples* This is the same with Bleach and Naruto. I could name almost all of the more main Naruto characters, and yet, I have not completed one of the manga, nor one episode of the anime. Thus, I knew who many of the characters were before I saw the show Avatar. ...sooo, when I saw the Zutara pairing first off, it was kind of a "Oh, haha, she's water and he's fire, heh, funny." So I accepted it. Then... I started actually watching the show.

And while it had a small fleeting thought for a bit... Zutara became the DEVIL. How I LOATHE that pairing. And guess what, folks? IT'S NOT CANON. CANON NO MORE. AHAH. AHAHAHAHAAAA.

...yes, this is one of the main triumphs of the finale. For me, anyway.

My muse would like to add that he was completely right about the Lotus Tile group being all old men who were totally awesome at fighting and kicking butt.

The finale was completely awesome, and I was completely in love with their message the whole time, up right until the end.

In short, if you've even gotten this far, and I'm sorry for my rambling if you have, I Avatar. Expect to see fanart up before too much longer.


...and Mike and Bryan better start working on something else. Hopefully away from the Nickelodeon so they can really cut loose.
